Read update →On chargeable weight: the greater of actual gross weight and volumetric weight, where volumetric weight = length × width × height in centimetres ÷ 6000. Light, bulky cargo is nearly always charged on volume, so send accurate carton sizes with your enquiry. Our chargeable weight calculator does the arithmetic for you.
At minimum: an Importer Exporter Code (IEC), an AD code registered at the port of import, a commercial invoice and packing list, and the airway bill. Certain categories additionally require BIS registration, a drug licence, or WPC/TEC approval. Send us the product description early and we will confirm before booking.
Yes, on the correct channels and with the correct documentation — UN38.3 test report, MSDS and DG packing. Pure battery shipments, battery-in-equipment and battery-with-equipment are all handled differently, so tell us which one you have. Never declare batteries as general cargo; it is the fastest way to have a shipment seized.
Under DDU your consignee pays Indian customs duty and IGST themselves at clearance. Under DDP we pay it and bill it back to you, so your buyer receives the goods with nothing further to pay. DDP is simpler for the buyer but requires accurate HS classification up front.
We take shipments from 21 kg. Below about 45 kg an express courier is usually cheaper and we will tell you so rather than sell you the wrong service. Above 100 kg, consolidated air freight is normally the best value.
Yes. If your cargo is not urgent, LCL and FCL ocean freight to Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Chennai and Kolkata will cost a fraction of air. Sea-air via Southeast Asia sits between the two on both price and speed. Ask us to price all three and pick.
You get the 11-digit air waybill number as soon as the booking is confirmed, and you can check it independently on any AWB tracking service. See our Track & Trace page, or send us the number and we will pull the status for you.
